So today I finally got some sleep. I was working last night from 6pm to 9am. Then there was class. Then there was passing out and being late for next class. Then there was passing out. Then there was missing meeting. Then Kathleen woke me up to go to hall meeting.
Things seem very strange and happy when there is little to no sleep. I was giggling this morning about my new darth vader figureine, and Matt and Marin from my class were quite freaked out apparently. Then I thought about it for awhile. Back in the day, people were used to me doing crazy things and going on random tirades about stuff. I don't know if I miss those days or not. Mostly right now I just want to get this paper done for Dr. Robinsons class... and get some food in me. I haven't eaten all day. Kathleen should be 'round in a bit with a pepperoni pizza we ordered.
I found an Ani Defranco CD on my work desk today... my guess is Krystal. Last night I was getting quite delierious and I told her that Ani Defranco rocked and I had one of her songs in my head.
So not this saturday, but next saturday, I go home. To be honest, the most I'm exceited about right now is being with my cats. It's very cold in this room. Well, I will say I'm exceited about the drive back. I don't know why lately, but the drive I look foreward to as a magical musical journey down the byways of my life. Then I get in Frederick and I get that akward feeling when I stop driving. I'm home, dad comes out and hugs me "How are you sweetie?" I say "okay dad" as I hug him and give him a kiss on the cheek. Then I shove my crap in my room, and we sit and talk for awhile while watching tv... usually it's CSI. We talk about the cats, cars, how school has been, etc. Then he goes to sleep. Then I try to numb my brain with television or a book. I stay up real late. I feel weird because I really don't know what I'm going to do the next day or the day after that. Here I know that I'm going to go to class, do work, interact with different people, and go to bed. There isn't anything set when I go back home, and it just leaves me feeling tired. Then there will be Mom's house for Christmas. Then Christmas at Dads. Then New Years. I'm going to do something different this New Years... what exactly I don't know but it will come to me.
I'm going to go out tomorrow night. Going to a bar and play billiards with a few friends of mine. The last time I was at a bar was that last night at the Pit Stop. I get a feeling all that is changing too. I have a good book to read over break. "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman. Pretty good so far, haven't had much time to get into it. You should read it Rae. Kathleen talks of maybe comming to see me over break. She should bring Arlie if she can. I want to show them where I live. Show them the summer spots on top of the mountain, or maybe the IHOP me and Robbie frequent. I could drive them around the back roads of Thurmont or Lewistown. Show them where Fort Detrick is and the Coffee Shop. The Bus station the town mall. I'm going to stay away from FSK if at all possible... too many people. Maybe swing them by the owl's nest, take them to a good place to eat. Maybe Tai food, well maybe something else that Arlie can eat at. Either way I think I'm going to do some driving around the back roads of Thurmont, Emmitsburg, and Rocky Ridge. There is that one covered bridge with the fattest crawdads in the stream. Remember it? Actually, I don't think too many people know where it is. I'm going to wait for a sunny day and go to the grottos and visit Jesus. If it's open. I don't know if they lock him up in the winter time or not.

So I didn't have to babysit chibies today, so that was nice.
Last night as I was making my way toward the elevator from Boothy's I was accosted by some drunken freashmen who asked me if I was an RA. I said no. Then they boy patted me on the head and they walked away saying how I was a good lesbian or something.
I really don't like the people here. I'm going to go talk to my RA about the noise problem because Kathleen will just start getting excited and try stabbing things again.

12:21 pm - Tis been awhile
Ok, so what I have been doing... Pokernights, starting kareoke, working. Working was starting to suck, but it's picking up again. I have nails now. I quit biting them. Paul is comming over tonight to meet dad. He's bringing deer.
There's a lot of strange stuff going around. It's in the air. It's hovering over my head but I can't quite get it. Something's gotta give.

Today is the 10th annual National Day of Silence. Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and straight allies will be participating in this event all across the nation. People will refrain from speaking all day except for when it is required by professors or buisness associates.
By participating in this event, people hope to draw attention to the silence that thousands of members of the LGBT community keep every day. Around the world people stay quiet about their sexual orientation and lifestyle for fear of social ostracization, unemployment, physical violence, imprisonment, and even death. Even here in the United States, the "Land of the Free," where "all men are created equal," members of the LGBT community can be denied jobs, housing, insurance, and access to their partners in a time of emergency just based on their sexul orientation. The National Day of Silence is about ending the silence people have to keep.
